MakerSpace NYC is a non-profit, community workspace for makers, builders, tinkerers, hardware developers, hobbyists, artists, entrepreneurs, and anyone with a curious mind who wants to make something. We offers tools, equipment, resources, workshops, and over 50,000 sq ft of space for you to make your ideas come to life.  We have two locations, Staten Island MakerSpace and Futureworks MakerSpace at the Brooklyn Army Terminal.

<h2>Linocut Block Printmaking</h2>3 sessions on Sundays: (Postponed one week- new dates: January 30th, February 6th &amp; February 13th11:00-1:30pm$60 + $20 materials feeJoin us to learn about the printmaking technique of linoleum cut block printing! Students will design, carve, and print their own unique prints over the course of three sessions. We will discuss the historical and political uses of this type of printmaking and compile a zine to take home that archives a copy everyone’s artwork. Appropriate for ages 12 and up. About the InstructorAssata González is a multidisciplinary storyteller and educator from Brooklyn, New York. Her practice centers community building through art making.Workshop LocationThis workshop is held in our Brooklyn location at the Brooklyn Army Terminal, Building B, Unit 1C
