We’re excited to invite you to the first program of our 2022 Member Meeting series! The series will take place in-person in August, September, and December, alternating between the Milwaukee and Madison areas. These USGBC Wisconsin events will convene members and stakeholders who make sustainable, healthy, resilient, and equitable buildings a reality in our community. Each will include a brief welcome from local leadership to make sure you&#x27;re aware of the amazing things happening with USGBC, highlight recently certified projects, and then dive into the main program exploring a critical industry topic. <h3>Leadership and Ongoing Performance</h3>The building industry is facing several major challenges, but one of the biggest is that decarbonization goals are not compatible with current industry practices. Where we are now and where business as usual takes us as an industry does not align with aspirations to achieve zero emissions and to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. We need dramatic industry changes, but those changes are conceivable. Leadership is needed now in both the New Construction and Existing Building markets. It is simply not enough to design and construct to high performance standards, we must embrace the notion that ongoing performance tracking and improvements are necessary in all buildings to ensure that all buildings are performing to those standards throughout their entire life cycle. Join us as we explore the market pressures driving industry change, discuss opportunities this challenge brings, and celebrate the ongoing successes and aspirations of Fiserv Forum and the Milwaukee Bucks. We will meet with their key leadership and partners to discuss their sustainability journey from its inception and beyond.
