Woodblock Carving and Printmaking | Grace Noel Art

🎨Let's learn printmaking and create with Grace! Woodblock carving and relief printmaking allows you to create an original work of art that can be reproduced over and over again, by hand. In this 3 hr class, you will learn how to create, carve, and print a woodblock. 👩🏻‍🎨Join Artist Grace Noel in her studio in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe to learn this powerful art form!

🗓️*Please note that due to dry times, you will need to come back the next day to pick up your creation

🎨Materials included with sign up fee:

• Woodblock
• Ink
• Paper
• Carving tools
• Printing station: brayer, barren, glass pallet, pallet knife

🤓What you will learn:

• sourcing materials
• carving with small wood carving tools
• printmaking without a printing press
• woodblock printing steps

✨Beginner friendly? YES! All skill levels are welcome, we will find a design for everyone.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Family friendly? YES! Recommended for children 14 years and older. Risk of injury from carving tools, they are sharp!

♿️ Please request accessibility needs in advance - email grace@gracenoel.art. Art classes are held in Grace's studio which is located downstairs in the basement of the Denver Art Society. There is one flight of stairs to access Grace's studio and no alternatives i.e. elevator, stair lift, etc. The main floor of the Denver Art Society is wheelchair accessible with one ADA bathroom stall. Grace can set up class on the main floor of the Denver Art Society which is wheelchair accessible, so long as she is emailed in advance. Please email grace@gracenoel.art to coordinate!
