Woodblock Carving & Printmaking Workshop | Grace Noel Art
Woodblock carving and relief printmaking allows you to create an original work of art that can be reproduced over and over again, by hand!
🎨 The Woodblock Carving and Printmaking art class explores the process of creating a handmade woodblock print. In this 2 hr lesson, you will learn how to draw, carve, and print a woodblock. 👩🏻🎨Join Artist Grace Noel in her art studio in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe to learn this amazing art form!
🗓️*Please note that due to dry times, you will need to come back to pick up your creation
🎨Materials included with sign up fee:
- Woodblock
- Ink
- Paper
- Carving tools
- Printing station: brayer, barren, glass pallet, pallet knife
🤓What you will learn:
- sourcing materials
- carving with small wood carving tools
- printmaking without a printing press
- woodblock printing steps
✨Beginner friendly? YES! All skill levels are welcome, we will find a design for everyone.
👨👩👧👦Family friendly? YES! Recommended for children 12 years and older. Risk of injury from carving tools, they are sharp!
♿️ Please request accessibility needs in advance - email grace@gracenoel.art. Art classes are held in Grace's studio which is located downstairs in the basement of the Denver Art Society. There is one flight of stairs to access Grace's studio and no alternatives i.e. elevator, stair lift, etc. The main floor of the Denver Art Society is wheelchair accessible with one ADA bathroom stall. Grace can set up class on the main floor of the Denver Art Society which is wheelchair accessible, so long as she is emailed in advance. Please email grace@gracenoel.art to coordinate!
