Utah Agriculture in the Classroom

Come discover—and taste—some of Utah's specialty crops! Learn how to integrate Utah's produce into health and nutrition curriculum.

USU Extension - Davis County Office

This Utah Agriculture in the Classroom Crops in the Classroom workshop is developed for 3rd-5th grade teachers in northern Utah. This workshop includes instruction and hands-on learning activities that use Utah&#x27;s specialty crops (tart cherries, peaches, onions, sweet corn, pumpkins, honey, and much more) to teach Utah Core Standards in health and nutrition. Each attendee will receive USBE renewal hours, and a resource box (worth $150) filled with lessons, kits, and specialty crop samples. Lunch is provided, and the cost of a teacher&#x27;s substitute will be reimbursed.
