Prose and screenplays are very different, but there are lots of lessons that the prose writer can steal. Award-winning writer Maureen McHugh leads this two-hour workshop focusing on how to link scenes and create forward momentum in a story. <ul><li>Class hours: 10am-12pm Pacific Time.</li><li>Class is taught over Zoom.</li><li>Zoom link sent out 24 hours before class starts.</li></ul>Maureen McHugh has published four novels and two collections of short stories. She’s taught writing at the university level and been a Clarion instructor multiple times. She’s the winner of the James Tiptree Award (now the Otherwise Award), a Hugo for Best Short Story, and was a finalist for The Story Award.
