SCDT presents:Weird Village: Theatermaking (ages 9-12) ** NINE WEEK SERIES! **w/Karinne Keithley SyersWednesdays, 4:30-6:00 PMWinter/Spring Session 1 ( 9 sessions ): January 26-March 23, 2022In the Workroom at the lower level at 33 Hawley Street, NorthamptonThis registration is for the 9-week Winter/Spring Session with classes on Wednesdays from January 26-March 23, 2022This ongoing class uses collaborative, playful game structures to explore the elements of theater creation from as many angles as possible, including story, sound, song, image, object, voice and physicality. We will let curiosity lead us onward. We will practice deep listening – to ourselves, the space, and to each other – learning to find our place in a collaborative ensemble. Each session culminates in a collaboratively devised performance to share.COVID-19 SAFETY:COVID safety protocols will be strictly followed. Masks are required of all participants at ALL TIMES while in the Hawley St. building, and class sizes will be limited to allow for social distancing.If your youth dancer is old enough to be vaccinated (5+), you MUST provide proof of vaccination at the beginning of the semester.
