-The ANOMA Team

Travel to Ghana is not complete unless the seat of Ghanaian culture is witnessed and experienced. Akwasidae, a traditional state-of-the-union, documented by European shippers as far back as the 1600s is a sight to be seen where Paramount and sub-chiefs attend to share in the celebration of the progress and success of their nation. The syncopation of large drums can be heard as the Palace is approached. This is Coming to Africa! With live kete and adowa dancers, contorting their bodies to high paced rhythms. After experiencing a once in a lifetime event, continue to complete your cultural immersion experience with a Royal Naming Ceremony. Diasporans should return to their country of departure bearing a piece of the Motherland that cannot be taken away, a name bestowed by traditional leaders in their quest to reconnect to 'home'.The ANOMA Team will guide and support each traveler through this diaspora travel experience as it stirs deep emotions as a family is gained and cultural knowledge is available to the next generation. All travelers are advised to dress in all White or Kente to engage in the festivities and ceremonies of the day. INCLUDED:

Transportation to and from the location of ceremonies

Access to Akwasidae Festival

Naming Ceremony

**Digital copies of photos will be available at additional charge.
