No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Click here to join today.</a></p><h2>Uncovering Our Truths: An Ayurvedic Healing Journey</h2><h3>Domains: Healing Work</h3><p>When we are rooted in who we are, we can better handle the uncertainties of life with grace. The wise teachings of Ayurveda encourage this process by asking us to look inward at the subtle layers of our being. </p><p>Together, we will explore the foundational theories of Ayurveda to help us understand and nourish our whole selves. As we begin to see ourselves more clearly, we will be more likely to show up for ourselves on a consistent basis.  </p><p>Ayurveda acknowledges that our deepest healing occurs through daily practices. The New Year is a wonderful time for us to integrate this wisdom in small, yet powerful ways. We all have the ability to heal ourselves. Ayurveda simply sheds light on this power and provides us with a helpful framework to navigate the journey. </p><p>Participants can expect to: </p><ul><li> Explore, contemplate, and discuss the Ayurvedic concepts of the doshas (physiological energies), the gunas (states of consciousness), and the koshas (5 layers of body and soul) to gain insight into our unique human experiences</li><li>Learn about and begin integrating the daily practices of Dinacharya (Ayurvedic self-care routine)</li><li>Reset the body and mind by aligning with nature’s rhythm</li></ul><p>Suzanne received her BS in Biology from The College of Charleston in 2012. Although she initially planned to study modern medicine, something along the way called her towards Eastern healing. Upon discovering Ayurveda, she was excited to find a natural approach to holistic health that addressed all layers of our existence. While Suzanne sees Western and Eastern medicine as complimentary, Ayurveda&#x27;s focus on prevention, non-invasive techniques, and sustainable change better aligned with her personal beliefs around health and wellness. </p><p>There are some items that you will want to have on-hand for the latter part of this course. A supply list will be discussed in detail at the first class.</p><p>Suzanne is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and has over 3700 hours of training through the California College of Ayurveda. She has a private practice in Madisonville where she has been working individually with clients since 2019. </p><p>Suzanne is also a 700 hour certified Hatha and Yin yoga teacher. Because Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences, she enjoys weaving the wisdom of the two together in her work. </p><h3>Your Zoom link will be sent with your registration confirmation.
