The most sustainable fashion is the clothing you already own! Do you have pieces just sitting in your closet not being worn? It has potential but the fit is off, the silhouette is out of style, or it&#x27;s just not quite right. Join us at our Upcycle Your Wardrobe Workshop and for a consultation with our Seamstress and Clothing Designer, Amy Beard of <a href="http://moderndarling.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Modern Darling</a>.What to expect:<ul><li>Participants will bring 1-3 garments from their own wardrobe to the workshop for a re-design consultation.</li><li>Receive a one-on-one consult with Amy to reimagine &amp; refit your garments — anywhere from a slight alteration to a major reconstruction.</li><li>Participants will also have their measurements taken and gifted a wallet-sized measurement card for an easier online shopping experience.</li><li>Participants will also receive complimentary Rosé or Prosecco</li><li>Participants can play dress up and shop The Nest&#x27;s secondhand collection.</li></ul>NOTE: The ticket price of this workshop covers the consultation, all agreed upon alterations/reconstruction is an additional charge. See Upcycling &amp; Mending menu below:UPCYCLING PACKAGESLevel 1: Tweak $75 Refresh a garment with 2-4 tweaks.Up to 3 hours for conception and executionLevel 2: Reinvent $150 Reinvent a garment with more time-consuming changes. Examples include replacing a portion of the garment, adjusting a collared or complex neckline, or adding panels to extend size.Up to 6 hours for conception and execution Level 3: Totally New Look $250 Not simply re-worked but totally re-made, a look that is unrecognizable and requires substantial design work. More than 6 hours for conception and executionAlterations à la carte:$15 — Take in both side seams of a shirt or dress or make 1-2 simple fit adjustment that requires minimal removal of stitches, Add a slit$20 — Raise shirt/skirt/dress hem, Hem both legs of pants (+$10 if lined or cuffed)$30 — Replace two straps$40 — Reduce waistband size, Take in both side seams of pants or make 1-2 fit adjustments that requires seams to be torn and restitched Repairs à la carte:$2: (Re)attach button/hook$5: Machine repaired tear (i.e. along a seam)$15 - $25: simple hand sew repaired tear (i.e. small but not along a seam)$30: Replace or repair zipper$25 - $75: larger hand sew repaired tear/visible mend
