ABOUT THE SHOWOn the heels of creeping charlie’s highly regarded debut EP, Asymmetrical, comes their eagerly anticipated first full-length release, How to Kill Creeping Charlie. Lead singer/guitarist/songwriter Julia Eubanks draws from a broad palette of influences, blending a Patti Smith early punk ethos through a guitar-driven 90’s Seattle pastiche, interweaving sonic experimentation with irresistible hooks. With this, the 10 tracks on How to Kill Creeping Charlie—ranging from quietly reflective to all-out rocking—paint a vivid picture of youth and the alienating times we live in, and how to find redemption. creeping charlie will be joined by a range of local acts, including Ivers, one act to be announced, and a few songs by Truman Beck and Nucleus Accumbens.

CREEPING CHARLIEcreeping charlie, composed of sister duo Julia and Esme Eubanks, (later incorporating Jack Malone and Harry Miles of Atomic Cafe) released their debut EP 'Asymmetrical' in May, 2020, and it landed high up on NACC, tying with iconic acts like Car Seat Headrest and STRFKR. creeping charlie "makes music for cool older sisters" extending from soft ballads to indie and punk rock. Inspired by the likes of Mazzy Star, Built to Spill, and Nirvana, be prepared to both cry and get sucked into a mosh pit at their shows. creeping charlie is a fresh act in the Minneapolis music scene, having debuted here in the midst of COVID. They kicked off the summer by playing their first show and closed it by headlining Amsterdam Bar and Hall with a crowd of over 350. IVERSIvers is a Minneapolis-based project made up of Ivan Mann, Henry Hughes, and Megan Fritz. Mann and Hughes began writing music together after meeting at their performing arts high school. They were later acquainted with Fritz and the three started working together in the beginning of March 2020.
In the summer of 2020, the group got in contact with Whistler Allen ( Hippo Campus ). Allen worked in collaboration with Ivers to mix and produce their music. Caleb Hinz (Normal Parents, Baby Boys ) also worked with the trio to master the project.
Their debut EP “Closet Wine” offers a fresh and nostalgic sound reflective of its introductory single, Push. The trio combines ethereal acoustics with personal lyrics to create an intimate body of work. Since it’s release, tracks have been featured on Spotify playlists like “All New Indie”, “Fresh Finds”, “Fresh Finds: Indie”, and “softly”, and have accumulated over 300,000 streams. Ivers is nostalgia, intimacy, youthfulness, and raw transparency; a tribute to growth. To learn more about Ivers:

Visit their Bandcamp page here

NUCLEUS ACCUMBENSNucleus Accumbens, named after the ‘pleasure center’ of the brain, is a project tapping into the unconsummated prog rock yearnings of its members Jim Eubanks (Tom, Dick, and Harry), Tyler Mickelson (The Vehicle) and Jack Malone (Tom, Dick, and Harry, Eden Deluxe, creeping charlie). Through their original compositions, Nucleus Accumbens tackles the age-old question of ‘What would the Beatles sound like if they played through Marshall Stacks?’

TRUMAN BECKTruman Beck is a Minneapolis based project, created in the gentle field of their bedroom but recently became much more. During the time surrounding quarantine a group of demos formed and the project expanded. The current lineup of the band includes: Truman Hughes, Oliver Hughes, Nate Walker, Avi Hankel and Gus Jennings. Truman Beck is a fresh sound with intimate roots, continuously changing and becoming something new.

WHY NOTWhy Not is a genre-bending indie rock trio from Minneapolis, MN. Henry Breen, Isaac Dell and Joshua Macgregor met in middle school and have been playing together ever since, quickly finding their spot in the Twin Cities DIY scene. Throughout the course of writing and playing together for a number of years, the trio has reinvented their sound continuously: mixing elements of punk, math rock, jazz, and pop to create a distinct and dynamic sound. In the span of five years, Why Not has made themselves known as one of the most energetic live shows in the Twin Cities and beyond, garnering attention from local outlets such as The Current and City Pages. The group has played alongside national touring acts such as Motion City Soundtrack, Beach Bunny, Lunar Vacation, Citizen, Defeater, It Looks Sad, White Reaper, Cheekface and many others.
