Kathy Tassini explores the 1918 flu pandemic and how it impacted Haddonfield. The pandemic began at the beginning of the 20th century was nick-named the “Spanish Flu” because the first public news of the epidemic came out in the Madrid press. While there were many cases in Spain, it’s true origin is unknown. Many epidemiologists think it originated in the US or France and then spread to the rest of Europe and America during WWI.
