<h3>Take Charge of Your Health: A Workshop for People with HIV</h3><h3><em>When it comes to HIV, knowledge is power!</em></h3><h3>This two-hour webinar will focus on being a self advocate and healthy aging with HIV. </h3><h3>The first section of this webinar will discuss how people iwth HIV can advocate for themselves to get the care they deserve. The second section will present tools and strategies for healthy aging with HIV.</h3><h3>All information is presented in jargon-free, easy to understand language.  We dig deep into topics, to make sure that everyone comes away with a clear grasp of everything presented.</h3><h3>As a result of this training, people will be able to:    </h3><ul><li>Make decisions with your doctor</li><li>Learn the difference between assertiveness and aggression</li><li>Prepare for a visit with your care provider.</li><li>Describe strategies for managing multiple illnesses</li><li>Define healthy aging with HIV</li><li>Understand HIV inflammation and its effect on aging in people with HIV</li><li>Understand steps to maximize health and minimize illnesses</li></ul><h3>Link will be emailed the day before the webinar to those who have registered. </h3><h3>Contact Mark Milano at markm@gmhc.org for more info.</h3>
