Info Session on Mobile Computer Science Principles (Mobile CSP)

CAITE(Commonwealth Alliance for Information Technology Education) works with educational institutions and organizations in Massachusetts to address under-representation in Massachusetts’ innovation economy. Based at UMass Amherst's College of Information and Computer Sciences, CAITE works on K-16 education pathways to broaden participation in computing. Mobile Computer Science Principles 
Who should attend?  High school teachers, curriculum directors, principals, school leaders interested in bringing computer science to their students.
Learn about:

<LI> How to engage students in building mobile apps for Android devices using the blocks-based App Inventor programming language.</LI>
<LI>The details of the College Board's new Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles (AP-CSP) course, which goes live in 2016-17.</LI>
<LI>How the Mobile CSP course provides a mobile themed-implementation of the AP CS Principles course that is expected to be endorsed by the College Board.</LI>
<LI>Summer 2016 professional development opportunities for Mobile CSP, including possible hybrid workshop in Western Massachusetts.  </LI>

Parking at the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center is convenient and free. There is a 15 space lot in front of the facility, and a 39 space lot on the opposite side of Bigelow Street. Either is just a short walk from the front door.
