The Crow and the Salmon Live EverywhereA multi-layered and immersive project by Peter Morin, Ayumi Goto, Parmela Attariwala, Justine Woods, Immony Men, Patricio Davila, José Andrés Mora, Emily Fitzpatrick, Janell Morin, and Kyoko Goto.Opening Reception and Performance: Friday, November 26 6-8PMPresented as part of Traversal Residency Series co-presented in partnership with the Public Visualization Lab and Trinity Square Video; funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council The Crow and Salmon live everywhere (actually). This collective work is an homage to the Crow and Salmon who teach us to imagine beyond human measures. This virtual reality experience interviews movements, songs, and the vernacular rooted within the bodies of Morin and Goto. This immersive environment generates new compositions and a radically shared language of fabricated and assembled worlds and meanings. The Crow and Salmon live everywhere is a portal – an invitation from crow and salmon to ask questions about the nature of movement, bodies, performance, and how those practices combine and activate an entanglement of knowledge(s).Space is limited. Proof of vaccination and masks required.
