FaMLE Fall Concert

TheMusic and Theater Artssection provides students at MIT the opportunity to experience the unique language and process of the arts. Faculty and teaching staff help students understand art’s demand for rigor and discipline and its non-quantitative standards of excellence and beauty. A strong, comprehensive program in both music and theater arts—encompassing history, theory, and performance—is taught by faculty and staff of the highest caliber.

In-Person Attendance: To attend this concert in person, you must submit an attestation via Tim Tickets (visitors - see details below) or Covid Pass (MIT Community) that states that you are not currently experiencing Covid symptoms and that you agree to wear a mask at all times. Tim Tickets For Visitors:Upon registering, you will receive a Tim Tickets link in your email confirmation. On the day of the event, please click the link and follow all instructions. You should submit your Tim Ticket attestation at least 30 minutes before entering the venue.For MIT Community Members on Covid Pass:On the day of the event, make sure to complete your testing and attestation requirements. Allow at least 30 minutes after your attestation before attending the event.

Pre-show talk at 5:30 PM Join FaMLE as we return to in-person musicking with an exploration of 'The Meaning of 'Live''. As an electronic music ensemble, we focus on the intersection of electronic musical systems with collaborative performance. Our practice of network-based collaboration served us well during the pandemic, and this semester we augment that with musical experiences that can only happen in the physical world -- including analog modular synthesis, spatialized audio, and collaborative remixing.
