New Salty Dog frontman Jacob Mahon performs and discusses his quirky, Americana-based music with KUMD radio host Malachy Koons.

Duluth singer/songwriter and <a href="https://www.facebook.com/new.salty.dog" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">New Salty Dog </a>frontman Jacob Mahon will discuss his quirky, off-beat Americana-based work, tell stories from his life in music and play songs from his latest release on the next “Live From The Heart” songwriters/storytellers live stream series. The on-line only event begins at 7:30 pm Monday, Nov. 29 on the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/c/SacredHeartMusicCenterDuluth/featured" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Sacred Heart YouTube channel</a>. <a href="https://www.kumd.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>Jason Wussow of <a href="https://wussows.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Wussow&#x27;s Concert Cafe</a> in West Duluth will host.According to his Bandcamp page, Jacob writes wordy songs about old people, and other people and occasionally himself. Influences such as Blind Reverend Gary Davis and Elizabeth Cotten add an old-timey feel to Jacob’s guitar playing which, when paired with his unconventional vocal style, yield a unique sound.
