Welcome to the 21+ Charity Comedy Underground @ The Grog! Join us for a night of laughter and fun at The Grog Restaurant in Newburyport, MA, USA. Get ready to enjoy hilarious stand-up comedy while supporting a great cause - NEER North. Come out, grab a drink, and help make a difference in the lives of animals in need. Your comedians for the evening are:

Host, Mark Moccia. Mark is the founder of Moccia Comedy Productions and loves giving back to the community. In just over 1 year, Moccia Comedy Productions has already (as of this writing) raised nearly $60,000 for local charities from Maine to Boston!

Headliner, Joey Carroll. Joey has been performing clean, thought provoking comedy for 20 years. His comedy is the result of a unique life experience and always keeping a positive attitude no matter what life throws at him. Joey has used his comedy to bring much needed laughter to our troops overseas since 1999. His overseas tours have included Afghanistan, Bosnia, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Kosovo, Kyrgystan, Macedonia. His latest tour took him to the Persian Gulf and the Mediterranean to entertain on Naval Bases. Joey was featured in NESN's Roughing It and WCVB's Chronicle, as well as Comedy Central's Pulp Comics and lastly on NECN’s Broadside with Jim Braude.

Featuring:

Alex Giampapa. Alex began performing stand-up at the age of 19 and soon became a mainstay in the Boston Comedy Scene. He's shared the stage with industry heavyweights such as Bill Burr, as well as opening for Adam Devine and Erik Griffin of Workaholics fame. He's competed in The World Series of Comedy and was also featured in The Mutiny Radio Comedy Festival in San Francisco, CA. Alex has also produced hit shows such as The Comedy Zoo, Stand-Up @ Lit & Giampapalooza at UMass Amherst, and currently produces CrossPoint Comedy in Lowell, MA as well as The Comedy Fire & High Performance Comedy in Boston.

Kathy Lynch. Kathy Lynch is a stand up comic and writer based in Boston. She has performed in the Women In Comedy Festival, the WOOtenanny Comedy Festival, and at several clubs in New England including Nick's Comedy Stop and the Comedy Studio. She is a contributor for The Onion, Reductress, and The Hard Times, and her satire writing has been featured in McSweeney's. Kathy's stand up material touches on embarrassing topics such as food allergies and being a fake goth in middle school. Her favorite hobbies are making kombucha and mediocre crafts.

Lauren Torres. Lauren is an up and coming comedian from New Hampshire who performs all over New England.
