Friends of the Dillon Ranger District's mission is to partner with the White River National Forest’s Dillon Ranger District in Summit County, to provide opportunities for the community to play a more active role in the sustainable management of the local forest and to enhance the experiences of all who recreate here by:Conducting high quality projects to build and maintain trails, plant new trees, promote watershed restoration and perform other services to sustain the Dillon Ranger District;Developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships between the Forest Service and a diverse group of local organizations, stakeholders, individuals and users of the National Forest lands;Creating excellent educational programs for our visitors, residents and youth to promote, protect and preserve our National Forest.

The Backcountry Film Festival is a series of short films centered around human-powered travel in the backcountry. Proceeds benefit FDRD!

<a href="https://winterwildlands.org/backcountry-film-festival" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The 17th annual Winter Wildlands Alliance Backcountry Film Festival</a> will show in Dillon on Friday, December 10 at Wilderness Sports, with Outer Range beer and snacks for sale as well as raffle! All proceeds will benefit <a href="https://fdrd.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD)</a>. *Masks will be required when not eating or drinking!!!*Raffle items include: Copper 4-pack, Weston Snowboard, Outer Range Brewing gift card, Frisco Nordic punch pass, Wilderness Sports gift card, FDRD Casino Night tickets, FDRD swag bag, &amp; more!Doors open at 6:00 pm and the screening begins at 6:30 pm. Raffle tickets, Outer Range beer, and snacks will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefitting FDRD.Admission is $15. In-person event tickets are very limited due to the pandemic. However, we also have unlimited virtual screening event tickets available. You can purchase an individual($10) or household($20) virtual screening ticket.
