Snacks and drinks are sold in the lobby before the show and at intermission. Accessibility: The Black Box is ADA compliant, completely wheelchair accessible, has handicap stalls in all bathrooms, and has both headphone and loop assisted listening devices connected to the theatre’s sound system.Covid Protocol: The Black Box Theatre will follow the guidelines set forth by the Montgomery County. Currently, the theatre requires a temperature check, proof of vaccination and mask wearing when not actively eating or drinking. Getting There / Parking: The Black Box is located 2 blocks away from the Silver Spring Metro Station and parking is available at area garages: the Town Square Garage and the Cameron St. Parking Garage.-----------------------<h3>About the Performers</h3><a href="http://jasonweemscomedy.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jason Weems</a> is a Baltimore based stand-up comedian who has been featured on NBC’S Last Comic Standing, Fox, and HBO. He is a high energy comedian and audiences drive from hours away just to enjoy his stand up. Jason has been seen at the most prestigious invitation-only comedy festival in the world, The Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and reached the top 100 and semi-finalist rounds on two separate seasons of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. His first hour-long comedy special, entitled “Vol. 1: Intellectual Property,” was filmed in his hometown and released independently. In 2014, his online series “The Lunchtime Show” (thelunchtimeshow.com) premiered on Marlon Wayans’ comedy platform WhatTheFunny.com. In 2017, Jason was a finalist at the HBO sponsored American Black Film Festival Comedy Competition in Miami. On December 1, 2018 Jason filmed his brand new comedy special “Unknown” that will be released nationally in 2019. His live show is truly one of a kind, and tailor fit to each unique crowd. In conjunction with standup, Jason can be heard in the popular serialized podcast “First Day Back”, where he is the subject of the newly released Season 3. Maddy Brannon has opened for Phoebe Robinson, Sam Jay, Max Silvestri, Kelsey Cook, and Noah Gardenswartz. She is a stand-up comic based in DC. She has performed at the Kennedy Center, Underground Comedy Fest, and Bentzen Ball.
