Who We Are -Founded in 2015, Allen CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is a volunteer organization with 150+ active members trained to help our community before, during, and after emergencies.What We Do -We support and augment the Allen Fire Department during critical incidents and large community events, assisting with preparedness activities, basic disaster response, and public education.Command & Partnership -Allen CERT falls under the command of the Allen Fire Department. We have the department’s full support and work in tandem with fire personnel during continuing education training and citywide operations.

<h2>One Simulation, Two Roles</h2><p>It's time for Allen TX CERT's spring simulation to keep our emergency preparedness skills sharp. We are looking for both <strong><strong>Volunteer Victim Participants</strong></strong> as well as <strong><strong>CERT Responders</strong></strong> from surrounding communities to join us.</p>

<h2>2026 Spring Simulation Exercise - Volunteer Victim Participant</h2><h2>8-8:30am arrival - You will arrive <em><em>before</em></em> responders to have makeup applied and be placed in the disaster senario before responders arrive.</h2><h2><br></h2><p>Allen TX CERT needs volunteers to play the roles of survivors in a simulated disaster. This is a fun and interactive community service event for parent teacher organizations, families, scout troops, student organizations, or any group or individuals wanting to help support Allen emergency readiness.</p><p>Participants can expect:</p><ul><li>Realistic, fake wounds applied</li><li>Staged in the field for our CERT Responders to find, extract, and treat</li><li>Certified volunteer hours</li></ul>

<h2>2026 Spring Simulation Exercise - CERT Responder</h2><p>On behalf of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), you are cordially invited to participate in our upcoming <strong><strong>Spring Simulation Exercise</strong></strong> on <strong><strong>April 18th from 1000 to 1500 hours</strong></strong>.</p><p>This exercise is designed to provide a hands-on, scenario-based training opportunity that reinforces core CERT skills, strengthens coordination, and enhances overall preparedness in a collaborative environment. We are excited to extend this invitation to neighboring CERT programs and would greatly value your team’s participation.</p><p>Participants can expect:</p><ul><li>A realistic, multi-scenario simulation</li><li>Opportunities to practice triage, search and rescue, and team coordination</li><li>Interagency collaboration and networking</li><li>A supportive environment focused on learning and skill-building</li></ul><p>We encourage teams to attend in uniform and bring any standard CERT gear they typically deploy with during exercises. Please RSVP by April 11th to confirm your team’s attendance and receive additional logistical details, including scenario briefings and safety information. We look forward to working alongside your team and strengthening our collective readiness through this engaging and valuable exercise.
