Who are the speakers and what topics will they cover?

Accepted Answer

There are 4 speakers this year: Louise Debefve (Cornell), Corey Pschierer (Thermo Fisher), Penny Higgins (Eastman Kodak), John Pochan (Avount Group). They will all be sharing more about their career journey and about the science they do now in their job.

Is there a fee to attend?

Accepted Answer

This is a free event; however, there is a $10 fee to reserve your ticket. You can ask for a refund up to 7 days in advance if your plans change. The day of the event, when you check in, your $10 holding fee will be refunded (takes 5-7 business days).

Is food provided, and are there dietary options?

Accepted Answer

Yes! There will be a light breakfast and lunch provided to all attendees. Of course, there will also be coffee, tea, and water throughout.

I'm interested in presenting research I've been working on, how do I do that?

Accepted Answer

When you register for the event (i.e. go through the ticket purchasing process), be sure to include your poster title (there will be a question and space to input this information) and you're in!

Question 5

I'm going to be presenting a poster; what size should I make?

Accepted Answer

We will have poster boards to display posters. You can print individual ppt slides (on 8.5x11) and put those up. Otherwise, a normal 4ft x 3ft poster will fit on the board.

The 2026 Roc Sci Tech Symposium got some amazing sponsors this year including: Bausch+Lomb, Hodgson Russ, Kodak, Nazareth University, St. John Fisher University, SUNY Brockport, Xerox, and UR Chem Department. We are very thankful for their support in order to make this event happen.

Where is the free parking?
