About this event

The Trauma Nursing Core Course™ (TNCC®) is a TWO day course developed by the Emergency Nurses Association® to present a firm foundation in trauma nursing and to provide nurses with core or basic trauma cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills that are associated with the delivery of professional nursing care to the trauma patient. The goal of TNCC is to improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care. Verification of successful course completion is based on passing the written exam and the Trauma Nursing Process (TNP) psychomotor skills station. Verification is valid for four years.

Class is scheduled to run from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on both days.

This 9th edition TNCC provider course has been approved for 19.50 contact hours for RNs.

Early Bird Registration cost is $295 (up to 30 days before the class)

Regular Registration cost is $325 dollars (within 29 days of the class)

Your registration fee covers all indirect costs from the ENA, a current 9th edition TNCC book, and shipping. If you have a book already you may enter the discount code "NOBOOK" for a $75 discount. Please note the course requires a book for successful completion.

WakeMed's Medical Simulation Center is a 3,800 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, located on the WakeMed Raleigh Campus. 

The Medical Simulation Center provides a unique training environment for health care providers throughout the region, including those affiliates with Wake AHEC, The Capital Regional Advisory Committee (CapRAC), Wake Technical Community College, and the numerous hospitals that comprise the Southern Atlantic Healthcare Alliance (SAHA).  

Funded by The Duke Endowment, the WakeMed Medical Simulation Center is designed to facilitate realistic multi-disciplinary clinical training and education for all levels of health care providers.  Health care providers have the opportunity to practice skills and gain clinical confidence in a controlled, yet realistic environment.
