Join us for the 2025 Spring CERT Basic Training Course! This in-person event will take place on May 17, 24, & 31 at the Richmond Ambulance Authority. Get ready to learn essential skills to help your community in times of need. Don't miss out on this opportunity to become a certified CERT member! Participants must attend each of the three days of training.
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program trains you to prepare for and respond to emergencies in your community. The concepts and skills you will learn prepare you to assist victims, organize volunteers and help your family and neighbors recover in the aftermath of a disaster. CERT also teaches you how to prepare your home, family and others in order to reduce the impact of a disaster.
This training is FREE! Lunch and snacks will be provided each day! During the course of three Saturdays (May 17, 24 & 31) through in-class and hands-on learning taught by the Office of Emergency Management, Richmond Fire Department, Richmond Behavioral Health Authority and other professionals you will learn and practice about emergency response and preparedness. Upon completion of the course you will become a part of a CERT team of volunteers that is ready and able to take action in preparing and protecting your community.
