After our 2024 Spring Symposium at Vassar College, we return in May 2025 for a visit to its manuscript collections. We will see some of its Medieval & Renaissance manuscripts, fragments, and cuttings. Vassar curators, faculty, and students will speak about selected examples. They include Books of Hours, an album of cuttings with illuminated initials, and a leaf by the Spanish Forger (active in France in the late 19th or early 20th century)

The day begins with a visit to the Art Center, followed by lunch in the Sculpture Garden. In the afternoon we will move to Main Library for the visit to Special Collections. There follows an informal RGME Roundtable to compare notes about the day's discoveries and share reflections. Several of us might describe our research on some of the materials or relatives to them.

We invite you to join us in person or online. Admission is free, but we warmly encourage you to add a Voluntary Donation when you register, to help us defray our costs for this event.
