About this event

  • Event lasts 98 days 2 hours

FRSecure is fighting to fix a broken industry.

One unique approach we use to bring about change is our Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Mentor Program.

The global demand for cybersecurity talent has been discussed within the security and risk management landscape for many years, and it's clear there's a shortage of skilled professionals.

Our mentor program is taught by industry-leading professionals and provided at no cost to participants to help fill those open positions. By preparing you for the CISSP certification exam, we’re investing in the industry, and opening doors for future well-qualified information security professionals.

There is no cost for the classes within the mentor program; however, students will need to purchase the textbook and pay to take the CISSP exam should they choose to take it.

Current Textbooks:

2025 Class Schedule

This is an on-demand course where participants can work through the materials at their own pace.

However, we will have live discussion sessions once a week for 14 weeks. Those will run every Wednesday from April 23 - July 30.

Each session will be 6pm - 8pm CST if you follow along live. All sessions will be recorded and sent to registrants.

If You're Familiar With the Course, There's a New Format this Year

We will be publishing more traditional lectures on our learning platform for on-demand, self-guided participation.

The live sessions mentioned above will be discussions, Q&A, practical applications, and quizzes from recently posted lectures and will be related to recently published lectures on the learning platform.

The live sessions are optional (granted, highly encouraged), and therefore there is no official "schedule."

Work through the course materials on your own time and come to the Wednesday sessions when you can!

The hope is that not only will you be able to work through the material on your own time, but we'll simultaneously be able to support those in the live sessions better—bringing the "Mentor" part of the name back to the forefront.
