SPEAKER: TIM PHILPOT

Tim Philpot retired in 2018 after fifteen years as a Family Court Judge in Lexington, Kentucky. Tim was a trial lawyer for more than 26 years, concentrating on employment law, family law and civil rights cases. He also served in the Kentucky State Senate from 1990-1998.

From 1996 to 2003, Tim was President of CBMC International, a worldwide ministry presenting Christ to business and professional people. He has spoken in 67 nations, primarily to CBMC groups, Parliament groups, legal groups and business groups. He continues his international work mostly as Chairman of Fishhook International, a mission to India.

Tim has authored three books:

1. “Player’s Progress” - a novel on a golfer’s search for wisdom on a dream course in northern Scotland
2. “Ford’s Wonderful World of Golf” - a memoir to his father published in 2013
3. “Judge Z: Irretrievably Broken” - a novel published in 2016 about family court and the death of marriage in America

He also served for twelve years as a volunteer assistant coach and chaplain for the University of Kentucky men’s golf team, where he played and graduated in 1974. Tim won several local and state golf tournaments as an amateur golfer and participated in the British Amateur in 1983.

Tim married Susan Davis, who grew up in Africa as the daughter of missionaries, in 1971. In 2019, they moved to Loxley, Alabama. In 2020, Tim returned to CBMC as an Ambassador”, where he uses his 42 years of experience in the ministry to mentor business and professional people in evangelism and discipleship.
