2024 Turtle Walk Program

Turtle Walks are an amazing way to experience nature at its most primitive. Participants have the chance to view the egg-laying process of a loggerhead sea turtle while learning about their conservation. While the group enjoys an informative lecture about sea turtles, trained biologists will patrol the beach in search of the turtle.

Programs begin promptly at 9pm and can go until we spot a turtle laying her eggs. If a turtle is not spotted by 11pm, we call it a night. There is no guarantee that a sea turtle will be seen by the group.

Things you should know before you register:

• A charge of $10/ticket (including ticketing fee) will be applied to secure your spot(s).*
• This charge can be either refunded upon your arrival to the event or donated to Inwater Research Group's (501c3 non profit) sea turtle conservation programs. Ticketing fees cannot be refunded.
• I n the event that you cannot attend the program, your ticket charges will automatically be donated.
• Tickets may be canceled, and charges refunded (sans ticketing fee) 30 days prior to your event. Tickets may not be canceled less than 30 days prior to your event.
• You may only reserve up to 6 tickets
• Children under 5 are not permitted. Guests who bring children under 5, including infants, will be turned away and registration fees will be donated to IRG.
• Guests must be able to walk up to a mile on the beach.
• Program occurs rain or shine. Participants should expect that the program is being offered regardless of weather unless they have received a call prior to the program.
• You must receive an email confirmation to be registered.
• No flashlights, flash photography, or cell phone photos are permitted on the beach.
• We cannot swap dates once your order has been placed.
• You will receive an email confirmation with detailed directions and what to expect for the evening. If you do not receive this email, please let us know right away as you may not be registered.

*Florida Power and Light receives no remuneration from its compliance with the condition quoted above

Before contacting us, please note that we cannot accommodate the following:

• Additional tickets when all the tickets are reserved for an evening (we are limited by our state permit).
• Participants who are not ambulatory or those who cannot walk up to a mile on the beach.
• Group reservations for parties larger than 6.
• Blocking off an entire night for a special group.
• A waiting list. The program fills up quickly and we cannot offer a waiting list.
• Refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of your reservation.
