About this event

  • 4 hours

You are invited to our 17th annual FUNdraiser where all proceeds go to kids in our community. The Truckee Optimist Club supports sports teams, art, music and drama programs, field trips, and provides academic scholarships. Your entrance ticket will get you access to all-you-can-taste (responsibly) brews and live music.

Enjoy award-winning craft and home brews, while listening to the infamous Blues Monsters, and voting for your favorite. There will be gluten free options available. There will be food for purchase and a silent auction.

The Truckee Trails Bike Valet will be available for those that would like to ride rather than drive.

This is a 21+ event. No dogs allowed. And again, please plan ahead on how you will be able to responsibly participate.

Please contact us if you would like to learn how to become involved in our club and support kids in our community.

Here are some thank you notes from a few of the programs we have supported.

Frequently asked questions

Are larger ticket packages available?

Yes. There are various levels of sponsorship available under the "Buy Tickets" button that come with tickets, meal vouchers, VIP parking, special marketing, etc... depending on the level of sponsorship. Consider having your business sponsor the event, get a group together, or sponsor yourself!

Can I ride my bike?

Yes. If you can ride home safely afterward. The Bike Valet will be available to keep your bike safe.

You say this is a FUNdraiser. Who is this supporting?

The list is long. It includes MANY Truckee High sports and cheerleading teams, Sierra High, robotics, middle and elementary school sports, music, and art, drama, boys and girls club, club teams, scouting troops, scholarships, and more.

Will there be non-alcoholic (NA) options to taste?

Yes. Full-priced ticket holders can enjoy things like Kombucha, Ginger Beer, Hop Water, and Flavored Seltzers that were made by our breweries and home brewers.

What will my full-priced ticket get me ($40, $45, or $50, depending when you bought it)?

Satisfaction that you had FUN while raising FUNds for kids in our community. And, all you can (responsibly) taste craft and home brews, including NA options, and amazing live music from the Blues Monsters.

Will food and non-alcoholic beverages be available for purchase?

Yes. There will be a variety of foods to choose from.

When and where is the 2024 Truckee Brewfest?

1pm - 5pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Truckee River Regional Park on the Big Chief lawn.

Craft Breweries AND home brewers?

Yes. There will be several of your favorite craft breweries such as Alibi, Pigeon Head, Schussboom, Donner Creek, and many others in addition to the home brew clubs gathering for a friendly People's Choice competition

What is a People's Choice award?

It's just that. YOU get to vote for your favorite. YOU get to define what makes your favorite your favorite. Is it the flavor? The title? The decorated booth? The personality of the brewer? YOU get to decide. How will the craft breweries and the home brewers earn your vote? It's all for FUNdraising!

Which home brew clubs will be represented?

395 Homebrewers (Carson City), Washoe Zephyr Zymurgists (WZZ: Reno), Truckee locals, Placer Ultimate Brewing Society (PUBS: Placer County), Marin Society of Homebrewers (MaSH: Marin County)

Why are homebrewers included with the craft breweries?

Home brewers get to brew in smaller batches than craft breweries, and not have to worry about making a profit because their brews cannot be sold. They often make brews for the fun and competition aspects of brewing that frankly are not economically viable for a business.

Will there be a silent auction again?

Yes. We have amazing support from local businesses. Come check out what items and experiences we have this year.

Are children allowed?

This is a 21+ event. Reserve that babysitter and enjoy a day with your favorite legal drinking-age adults.

Are dogs allowed?

We love dogs! However, this event gets packed and dog poop, dog leashes, and sadly a few dog owners from the past have made it so that we cannot allow dogs.
