Join us for the Tri-Cities Salsa Congress happing September 6-8, 2024! The weekend will feature 2 full days of workshops on Saturday and Sunday as well as social dancing Friday and Saturday night. Don't forget about the Saturday Pool Party! We will have workshops in Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and more. Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred by contacting the event organizers.

You do not need to know how to dance to attend! There are beginner level dance courses where you can start to learn how to dance. All are welcome!
A salsa congress is a community event that includes dance workshops, nighttime socials for dancing, performances, which allows an opportunity for dancers to come together. Different types of dance, in addition to salsa, are included. This event includes bachata, kizomba, cumbia and more!
Most people usually wear athletic clothing. Those can include leggings, yoga pants, comfortable shirts or even jeans if that is what you are comfortable wearing.
You do not need special shoes but many participants have dance shoes they wear for dancing. Dance shoes typically have a suede sole to make it easier to spin of the dancefloor. Keep in mind that shoes with a high level of traction can make it difficult to turn and hurt your knees over time.
Attendees usually dress to impress on Friday and Saturday night. Check the event website and social media for themes that you can choose to participate in each night.
Not at all! In dance workshops, instructors usually have every one rotate partners. If you come with a partner and do not want to rotate, you can stay together. Keep in mind that you usually learn more by rotating with other dancers. This event has a welcoming environment and all are invited.
