The Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research is excited to announce that this year’s Trainee Day will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024. This special half-day event brings together a diverse community of clinical and basic science trainees throughout the TRCHR ecosystem.

This event is open to clinical and basic science trainees affiliated with the Centre at our partner institutions: SickKids, University Health Network, and the University of Toronto.

You can expect exciting keynote presentations from Drs. Dinesh Thavendiranathan and Zahra Shakeri, a career panel session, trainee talks, and a networking session to close the event. Topics will include navigating careers in academia, strategies for dealing with career setbacks, the future of journals and publishing, managing competing priorities, diverse career paths, and more.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
