Organized by

The Afiya Center is a premier social justice organization in Texas that works to address the unique needs of Black women, increase awareness and advocacy around policies in order to transform reproductive oppression so all women achieve maximum health, wellness, and reproductive freedom. We seek to decrease HIV risk, while simultaneously addressing the social determinants that lead to disproportionate rates of HIV among Black women in Texas, such as poverty and access to education. We serve as a safety network, collaborator, resource center and info-hub for mobilizing, grassroots organizing, and policy change throughout Texas.
