Orientation and Family Programs is excited to kick off our First Year Orientations in May, welcoming our new students and families to FIU! This season, we are introducing the FIU Support Services Fair where several campus partners will be tabling in a fair-like manner to share resources and information given to new students and families. There will be a separate fair called the Engagement Extravaganza only for student clubs/organizations/agencies at a later portion of the program.
It is your department’s choice to participate in the sessions. Spots are limited per session. There is a wait list option, so we encourage you to register early should you choose to participate in all sessions.
The Orientation dates are listed in the following page by event date. The time commitment will be from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM as there will be two waves of groups attending the Support Services Fair between that block. Check in will begin at 10:45 AM.
Please review the Eventbrite signup form for additional information. As a reminder, only one registration is needed per department. Please plan with your office staff to ensure there are no duplicate registrations for your area.
NOTE: June 7, June 25, and December 4 are sessions at the Biscayne Bay Campus (BBC) at the Wolfe University Center Ballrooms. The rest of the session dates are at the Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC) Graham Center Ballrooms.
A member of the Orientation and Family Programs staff will be checking you in, you can choose any table you would like.
