About this event

Have you tried to plant and grow vegetables only to end up with a bunch of bug-infested greenery or worse -- wonderfully colorfful 3 year old seed packets that have never been opened?

We are excited about seed saving, delicious food, and healthy eating, and look forward to sharing what we have and are learning along the way. We will have seeds for 20-25 Vegetables with planting and growing guidance for you over six months (July-December), and we will gather together monthly over a meal to discuss the challenges and successes as we experience them.

Come join us as we show folks a low maintenance, high success strategy for growing vegetables throughout the year. We provide the seeds and instructions for planting them, along with growing, harvesting, and preparing advice throughout the month.

We meet the third Saturday of every month at 1230 on the farm in Beechgrove, Tennessee, conveniently located off Interstate 24 (exit 97) and many other main roads.

The session is all or nothing, not a-la-carte, to help us all with accountability (July-December). It’s $120 total for the six month session, and you’ll get way more than that in value. The above amount needs to be paid in advance.

If you miss a month, we will work with you to get that month’s seeds, whether you come to the farm at another time, we meet somewhere in town, or we mail them to you. We stay connected through Facebook, text, and email throughout the season for those with conflicting schedules. You will have access to experienced growers in the group the whole time, whether at meeting time or in between.

Everyone who participates will receive seeds every month, with online support for questions and ideas through the month. The cost is $20 per household per month, with an abundant amount of seeds, advice, and enjoyment included. Payment in full is needed, with cash, check, and many of the digital apps available.

Children who want to learn and can sit relatively still for a couple hours are welcome to attend. The cost listed is per household, but please let us know who will be attending the meetings so we have sufficient seating.

We plan to support households wanting to grow enough to feed from 1 to 10 people. The number of seeds you get every month will be very generous, more than most can imagine planting, and surely more than most seed packets you’ll find commercially available.

Let’s plant some more in 2024!
