2024 MSFA Convention will be held at the Convention Center in Ocean City.
Risk Watch / Safe Kids Interactive Displays for children and families “Steps to Safety” provide activities for young children, school age children and teens. “Steps to Safety” will be at the Ocean City Convention Center in Room 210 on the second floor at the top of the escalators.
VOLUNTEERS are needed at the individual safety stations to teach children and families.
Dates and Times:
ASK: 2 - 4 hour to volunteer at a station. We will have mentors available to share the key teaching points. Displays are all provided by Safe Kids/Risk Watch Maryland.
Sunday June 16, 2024: 11 am – 3 pm
Monday June 17, 2024: 9 am – 3 pm
Tuesday June 18, 2024: 9 am – 2 pm
We also need VOLUNTEERS to staff (and wear) the safety Mascots and to be their Escorts. Either the Mascot OR the Escort must be over 18 years of age. To wear a costume, you MUST attend one of daily morning trainings at 9AM to ensure your safety and the safety of the convention participants.
Mascots include: FAN the Panda, Sparky the Fire Dog, Troo the Traumaroo.
