Join us on Friday, August 23rd for the 2024 BCI Preaching Workshop in Ankeny.We’re thrilled to announce an upcoming workshop dedicated to the art of preaching the parables of Jesus! BCI’s Preaching Workshop is a one-day event on Friday, August 23rd, 8:00am – 1:00pm. This is a state-wide event hosted by First Family Church in Ankeny and sponsored by the Baptist Convention of Iowa (BCI). If you are looking for hands-on help and tools you can use in any realm of preaching, whether it be preparation or delivery, this workshop is for you! "PREACHING THE PARABLES" WITH DR. STEVEN SMITHSteven Smith has served as a pastor, professor, and in academic administration. He taught preaching for 20 years, and his passion is a theology of preaching and how biblical genres can shape the content and the delivery of a sermon.
