2024 Performing Arts Showcase - Behold. Presented By POYDS Dance Company

Join us Saturday, May 4th at 1:30pm for POYDS Dance Company’s Performing Arts Showcase - Behold: A Time for Change, A Time to Be Present, A Time for Others. This showcase features aspiring dancers and professional artists both young and old in this heartfelt performing arts showcase that explores through a collection of dance and artistic guest performances brings to life the journey of what it means to be completely and absolutely present and captivated by the moment and time of life we are in.

Behold which also means “to be sure to see”. Behold is an older word that one does not see often anymore, however its meaning has stood the test of time and is an action that in the busyness of today’s society of technology, hectic and involved schedules, social media likes and more that many have forgotten. In the craziness of life today, it can be hard to be sure to truly see those around you and take time for oneself when you are feeling like one is being pulled in so many directions. Within this production of Behold, it will explore what it means to peel back the layers of life’s distractions and showcase the important journey of taking time to pause and reflect on what really matters in life. This show will highlight how to take time to notice life habits that may sidetrack and hinder one from being completely present in the moment and how to redirect oneself to truly behold this time of life they are in while cherishing the moments and time they have with those in their lives.

Tickets Policies:

• Pre-Sale Ticket Sale: Tickets can be purchased virtually through Eventbrite from now - Wednesday, May. Payment can be made via debit/credit card or Paypal through Eventbrite. In-person ticket sales can be done ONLY by appointment. Virtual pre-sale tickets are available for the following:
• $15.00 per adult, $12.00 for students ages 8 - 18 years and children ages 7 and under are $10.00 per person.

• At The Door Ticket Sales: POYDS will be hosting in-person sales on the day of the showcase of May 4th at the door. Ticket prices at the door are: $18.00 per adult, $15.00 for students ages 8 - 18 years and children ages 7 and under are $12.00 per person.

Additional Ticket Reservation Expectations:

Dancers will NOT need a ticket for the showcase. Allotted tickets are solely for attendees patrons coming to watch the event.

Backstage moms helping at their respective and selected scheduled showcase will have complimentary admission into the event for the show they are backstage helper for. Backstage moms MUST purchase a ticket for the other showcase they wish to attend as a patron. If no ticket, sadly one will not be able to attend due to tight ticket sales and capacity levels. Thank you for your understanding in advance to prepare accordingly.

All little ones must have a purchased and reserved seat due to capacity level requirements. Thank you for your understanding!

We also ask all patrons to honor our young child ticket pricing as well and be truthful on the ages of being 12 and under. All proceeds go to support POYDS Dance Co. and to expand our outreach for more individuals to put on their dancing shoes with us! We appreciate your understanding in advance.

NEW THIS YEAR: POYDS will be selling tickets as general admission. This means you will not be reserving an assigned seat ahead of the performance and instead selecting a seat when you arrive at the venue. We will not be able to hold or reserve specific seats and we strongly encourage and recommend parties to arrive early to select their seats when the house opens 30 minutes prior to the performance. Again, seats will not be selected before that time frame. In addition, due to POYDS hosting some internal staff and dance + backstage helper meetings in the auditorium before each show, the auditorium will be closed and locked until the house officially opens 30 mins prior to the show start time. Individuals are NOT allowed to come in early and reserve or block off sets unless pre-arranged and approved by our POYDS Admin Team. If one comes in and reserves / blocks off seats without approval and interrupts these important meetings and pre-show rehearsals, POYDS Ticket Staff has the right to remove this and individuals will lose these seats and will be subject to wait to select and pick their spots when the house opens at the set showcase time. Thank you for your understanding in advance while we strive for every patron to enjoy the performance equally and see their loved ones on stage!

POYDS Dance Company does have the right to remove selective ticket reservations - POYDS will refund the ticket fee, but individuals will be at a loss of the processing refund fee by Eventbrite.

If after all families have reserved their general admissions tickets and there are more tickets available we will absolutely let families know to purchase.
