Incredibly excited to host our 14th annual event and celebrate a decade of great training for my colleagues in governmental accounting. I'm looking forward to seeing you all soon this May for a week of sessions ... and fun. We'll introduce a new segment of sessions designed to be the "Bootcamp" of governmental accounting. There's also considerable coverage on AI and where it is taking us.
Frequently asked questions
The 2024 conference will be virtual using Zoom just as we have done since 2020. You do not need a camera nor microphone to participate, but speakers are required.
Most courses are 50 minutes long and qualify for up to 1 CPE hour each. You MUST answer the polling questions asked throughout the session to be awarded credit for the course. This is a NASBA requirement; not the speaker's nor Octane (so no exceptions). Courses over 50 minutes are more CPE.
There is a fee deducted from your refunds that covers administrative charges from the online platforms (Zoom & Eventbrite), but everything else is refundable through April 30. Both before and after April 30th, you can substitute your registration for another attendee. No refunds after April 30th.
Early (normal) registration is $150 for the entire week. That is the same price as 2023. Octane is a nonprofit organization ran by Chris without any employees so your costs are minimal to include the technology and speakers and programs.
