Distillation is an ancient and almost magical process of extracting the purest essences from plant matter. Stop by the lavender field to see our beautiful copper alembic (a still) dispense precious drop after drop of fiercely fragrant essential oil of lavender.

The “NYC Lavender Festival” offers 2 days of demonstrations, maker workshops, harvesting opportunities and fun activities, all connected by "The NYC The Lavender Field” on Governors Island, a healing space for community, bees and earth, and the only lavender field in all 5 boroughs of New York.
