Capital Project Preparations Workshop

Join us for an insightful virtual workshop led by Greg Matney, Construction Consultant at the Dekko Foundation. Greg brings over 27 years of experience in the construction industry, where he has worked extensively on capital projects and helped organizations in funding priority areas achieve their goals.

About Greg Matney

Greg Matney is a construction consultant at the Dekko Foundation. He focuses on assisting organizations with capital projects in their funding priority areas. Originally from Huntington, Indiana, Greg graduated from Huntington North High School in 1992. During his teenage years, he was a wrestler and skateboarder. After completing two years of higher education at IPFW, he transitioned to a hands-on career in construction.

Greg embarked on a journey that led him to enroll in an apprenticeship program with the Union. During this time, he focused on developing his carpentry skills and gradually advanced to the position of Construction Superintendent. With more than 27 years of experience in the construction industry, including 23 years as a Superintendent/Foreman, Greg has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in project management and team leadership.

Outside of work, volleyball has been a significant part of Greg's life, and he played intercollegiate volleyball for over 14 years. He is also a devoted Christian, happily married with three children, two dogs, and a cat that makes occasional appearances.

Recently, Greg discovered a passion for playing the Handpan, a musical instrument that has become his latest obsession. He can be contacted at Gmatney@dekkofoundation.org or reached by phone at 260.235.1528.
