About this event

Mark your calendars for an exciting new multi-day NAWCC New England Regional Convention! The Mart opens Friday morning at 9 AM (7:30 AM table-holder setup) at the spacious Douglas N. Everett Arena, 15 Loudan Road, Concord, NH, which is only minutes off I-93. The modern venue features no sales tax, ample free parking, and easy ground-level loading.

The Mart closes at 4 PM Friday so participants can enjoy education programs at 5:00 PM at the New Hampshire Historical Society, 30 Park Street, Concord, NH, just a short distance away in downtown Concord. Speakers will include John Delaney of Delaney Antique Clocks in West Townsend, Massachusetts, will present an illustrated talk about fine New Hampshire clocks his family's longtime clock shop has handled. John has made many appearances on the PBS Antiques Roadshow. Damon DiMauro, Gordon College (MA) professor and author of articles in the NAWCC Bulletin, will reveal recent discoveries about Abiel Chandler, Concord, New Hampshire Clockmaker. John Fitzwilliam, longtime collector and restorer, will display and discuss important examples of early New Hampshire clocks.

Following the NHHS educational programs, please join us for an optional group buffet dinner at The Common Man, 25 Water Street, Concord, NH on Friday evening from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The seating is limited to 50 people.

The Saturday Mart, open to the public, will begin at 8 AM and close at noon so attendees can travel about 20 minutes to Schmitt Horan & Co., 80 Raymond Road, in Candia, NH for an auction preview and cash-and-carry auction that evening. Luncheon will be available. Sunday will be their Spring catalogued auction, with previewing available during the Saturday events.

Our host hotel is the Comfort Inn, 71 Hall Street, Concord, NH. is five minutes away. Special discount rates will be offered. A special discount rate of $113 plus tax per night is available; call 603-226-4100, ask for "reservations" and refer to the "NAWCC" courtesy-block of rooms.

A special three-day clock repair class, limited to 8 students, will be offered by NAWCC Education Director, Ken DeLucca. The class will be held at the Comfort Inn. Class size will be limited to eight students. Running 9am - 5pm from Tuesday April 23 - Thursday April 25, the cost is $850 with each day's lunch provided.
