Come enjoy a round of golf with friends and family honoring Matt's legacy. This day is about coming together and having a great time. Show off your values of good sportsmanship, honesty, and professionalism or just enjoy pretending to play a game Matt loved.
You are guaranteed a good time and good food. After your round of golf; stay and enjoy a presentation of winners: Men's team, Women's team, Best Dressed Team, raffle basket drawings and infamous live auction.
We have support Matt's alma mater, Lawrence University with an endowed named scholarship in his honor. The Matthew M. Orth Memorial Scholarship has reached its 100K endowed scholarship. Each year a $5,000 scholarship is given to a Minnesotan student in honor of Matt.
2023 and beyond all proceeds of the tournament will support CentraCare Suicide Prevention Program in honor of Matt’s older brother, Travis. Unfortunately, in Janurary of 2019 Travis ended his life without warning or reason. We hope the two boys are happily playing golf together as we all miss them dearly.
A bit more about Matt:
Born Feburary 16th, 1984 to Scott and RoxAnne Orth
Died September 9th, 2012 while playing hockey, another game he loved dearly.
His death is a mystery, we do not know why but he lives on in the hearts of all those who attend his memorial tournaments (MOMGTs).
