Junior Rangers 2024 : Week 3

This summer, the Junior Ranger program is exploring a different life group every week, and Week 3 is Birds! Programs run Monday - Wednesday from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Outdoor and weather appropriate clothing must be worn as we will be exploring the park; getting dirty and/or wet are both strong possibilities! Closed-toed shoes are required every day. Please don't forget to bring a snack and a reusable water bottle, as well as apply sunscreen and bugspray before the program begins.

Pre-registration and payment are required in advance. You can register through this Eventbrite listing or by calling the Visitor Center during work hours. If you are registering more than one child, please reserve the appropriate number of spots. Payment can also be completed over the phone or in-person by stopping by at the Visitor Center.

On the first day, please arrive at least 15 minutes early as we will need the parent/guardian to fill out an emergency contact form for their child. The parent/guardian and child will also read and sign a code of conduct. An adult listed on the emergency contact form must sign the child in/out, and a valid photo ID must be presented.

Program cost is $15 per child, per session.

Frequently asked questions

Will there be a snack break?

Yes! And we will provide a variety of different food items, along with water, as a part of the program. If your child has dietary restrictions or a severe food allergy (such as peanuts), please pack them their snacks and let us know beforehand.

Can I pick up my child later than 1:00pm?

Please pick up your child promptly at the end of the program. We will try contacting you directly and give you a 15 minute grace period after the conclusion of the program before we call the secondary contact.

My child has special needs, can they still participate?

Due to the nature of the program we may or may not be able to accommodate your child's specific needs at this time. Please contact the Visitor Center and ask to speak with Chief Ranger Hillborn; we will do our best to be as accommodating as we can!
