Organized by

Juneteenth in Carroll is our signature event. With the support of our volunteers and community leaders we bring to our local community education and fun through the celebration of Juneteenth.

Each year in August, for 3 days, we focus on Wear It Loud. We encourage you to show others your creativity through culturally appropriate clothes, jewelry, hairstyles, ect. Just wear it, take pics, tag us and post it on social media. Show just how proud you are to Wear It Loud!

Throughout the year we host "Focused Conversations". We provide a platform for open conversation that focuses on building a better understanding and acceptance of all. These are opportunities for our community to talk with others about topics related to race and culture, perceptions and misconceptions and other topics designed to achieve the SOIAOI mission.
