About this event

The House and Garden tour continues as a live event in 2024!

Ticket holders will be invited to tour five private homes and gardens, plus Warner Castle, including two houses never opened before for any tour!

The Highland Park neighborhood is well known for its renowned parkland, punctuated with notable buildings, and more tightly knit early 20th century streets along the district’s fringes. These fascinating “fringes” will be a major feature of the 2024 tour.

The neighborhood has many examples of beautifully maintained homes that retain the details of an earlier era. Six tour stops will be featured. Craftmanship is evident throughout, from an impressive hilltop “statement” home to craftsman and bungalow styles. One grand house that has never been open to the public is undergoing a major restoration, and our tour goers will be the very first invited to visit. Charming, designed homes, including one by noted architect Leander McCord, and a pretty special garden and pool round out the tour.

Ticket holders will receive an informational program on the history and architecture of the homes, in digital and printable format - they may also pick up a printed program at tour headquarters during the tour.

Since this is a tour of private homes, please be advised that the houses are not physically accessible and all require steps to enter. Walkers or other assistive devices are not permitted in the private homes.
