2024 Healthy Living/Garden Club

Healthy Living/Garden Club will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22 for a 16 week program of learning and growing!

Weeks will feature either a garden day or a healthy living topic/activity. More hands-on activities and field trips will be included. Every session will include Fitness and Positive Affirmations.The tentative plan includes the following topics and activities: Bird Feeders, Design a Fairy Garden, Make a Stepping Stones, Edible Fruit Designs, Healthy Living Scrap Book Poster, Reduce Food Waste, and Cultural Food Fair. Field Trips to Green Thumb Florist, A Nature Center and Elk Grove Food Pantry are tentatively planned.

Garden sessions will be held outdoors, weather permitting. In case of rain, activities will be moved inside the church. Hands on activities and nutrition focused topics may be held inside or outside depending on activity. Participants are to wear closed toe shoes, dress for garden work and bring a water bottle.
