With over half of Americans experiencing loneliness and a decline in community participation rates, the imperative to foster connections has never been more pressing. This year, the Coalition to End Social Isolation and Loneliness and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine extend a call to action, inviting you to participate in the Coalition's third annual Global Loneliness Awareness Summit in Washington, D.C. on June 11th.
During this free in-person event, we will collectively delve into the role of social connection as a potent catalyst for public health, civic engagement, and the development of resilient communities that promote the well-being of all individuals.
Our focus extends beyond mere awareness as we strive to mobilize participants towards evidence-based, actionable solutions. The objective is to ignite the emergence of a new cultural paradigm—a culture of connection and prosocial values.
