Thank you for your interest in attending the Girl Up USA Leadership Summit in Los Angeles, CA! To join us, you’ll need to complete this Eventbrite form, which will serve as your application. Financial Aid applications are closed at this time. Within a week of submitting the form, you will receive an email from Girl Up staff with a notification of your application status.

Registration for the 2024 Girl Up USA Leadership Summit will now close to new registrants on June 9th. Make sure you complete your application by that date to ensure you get considered for a spot to attend

Please note that applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. If you do not receive a spot to attend the 2024 in-person USA Leadership Summit, or don’t live in the United States, don't worry! We will be hosting other regional events around the world in 2024, in addition to our virtual Girl Up Global Leadership Summit in October, which will be jam-packed with exciting speakers, workshops, and opportunities for you to connect with your fellow changemakers. About the Girl Up USA Leadership Summit

This will be the first-ever Girl Up USA Leadership Summit hosted in Los Angeles and will focus on promoting the balance of mental wellness, celebrating wins in gender equity, telling our stories of impact, and promoting further activism in our communities. Through leadership training, educational programming, and inspirational speakers, every youth leader present will know how to harness their power for change.

The Girl Up USA Leadership Summit is open to U.S. residents, particularly students ages 13-24, and will bring together more than 150 youth changemakers from around the U.S. The USA Leadership Summit promises to be an incredible two days of organizing and advocating for change at home and beyond!

Don’t miss the opportunity to convene with your fellow youth activists, exchange ideas in youth-and-expert-led workshops, and get inspired by an incredible line-up of speakers advancing the movement for global gender justice! After two days, you’ll leave with the knowledge, skills, and new friendships necessary to take your leadership skills to the next level and make meaningful social change.

The USA Leadership Summit will take place in person in Los Angeles, CA, and will include opportunities for engaging with attendees from across the United States. Please indicate in your registration if you would like accommodations for a disability.

What You Can Expect

Saturday's programming will feature keynotes and conversations with powerhouse leaders across the gender justice space and interactive workshops where you’ll learn how to further accelerate social change. On Sunday, join a hands-on Day of Action workshop of your choice and develop your leadership skills to build and lead a global and intersectional movement for gender justice.

You Should Apply If You…

• Are 13-24 years old and are passionate about gender justice
• Live or go to school in the United States
• Have been wanting to join Girl Up and become a part of the gender justice movement, but haven’t yet had a chance - now’s the time!
• Are a girl of any gender, or youth who identify as non-binary, genderqueer, gender fluid or expansive, agender, in transition, and/or are questioning your gender identity

Hotel Information:

You are not required to stay at the summit hotel, Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. However, we do have a room block available for all attendees. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the Summit venue, Chief Clubhouse, 714 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069. Double Queen rooms are available for all attendees and can either be shared with a fellow youth attendee for $135 per night/per person or Double Queen rooms not shared for $270 per night plus taxes and fees.

If you would like your own room at Sofitel, Los Angeles at Beverly Hills we have a room block you may book a room in. Follow the steps below to reserve your room:

• Please call (310) 278-5444 or email h0937-groupreservations@sofitel.com to book your room stating you are booking a room within the Girl Up room block. The hotel will ask you to either submit credit card information or sign a credit card authorization form to secure your room.
• One Double Queen room is $270 per night plus a 16.195% tax.
• Note: If you choose this path, please book ASAP as space is limited and after June 7th, we won't be able to guarantee a room!

If you want to share a room with one other youth Summit attendee at Sofitel (roommate assigned by Girl Up), indicate this when you fill out your registration form. Outlined below are the steps for this process:

• Indicate in your Eventbrite registration if you would like Girl Up to assign you a hotel room to be shared with one other youth Summit attendee (please note Girl Up will not be covering the cost of your stay)
• Girl Up Staff will reach out to you closer to the event with your hotel reservation details including your reservation number, check-in and check-out dates, and information on your roommate. This may also include a credit card authorization form to share your payment method in advance of your stay.
• Upon check-in, you will be charged at the hotel either through a credit card on the day of or through your previously filled out credit card authorization form.
• Note: If you choose this path, Girl Up will be reserving the room on your behalf and you will not need to book through the contact information shared above in the first bullet point.

How is Girl Up evaluating applications?

• We will be evaluating applications on a rolling basis and accepting participants in order to build a diverse group of attendees for this event, representing a wide range of geographies, identities, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

What is the cost to attend?

• There is a $120 fee to register and attend this event. The registration fee is due at the time of your application. If you are not accepted, you will receive a full refund. Financial aid applications have closed.
