Dubbed the “Best 7 Hours of Summer,” our event celebrates survivorship and brings our community together to support a common cause.
Barndance Is More Than an Unforgettable Event
The Barndance is the hallmark annual community event in McHenry County. Our team consists of 100% volunteers who have raised more than $9.6 million in our fight against cancer.
Know that every ticket you buy or donation you make, you’re contributing to three powerful actions.
- Raise cancer awareness through education and screenings
- Improve cancer care for local residents
- Raise funds for cancer research
The highlight of the evening is the presentation of Never Be Defeated awards. Steve selects individuals or families for their positive outlooks, fantastic attitudes and an inspiration to others for are fight the fight.
Barndance is a 21 Years or Older Event
Children are not allowed, even if accompanied by an adult.

Frequently asked questions
The Barndance takes place on July 20th from 5pm to Midnight in Emricson Park. 1313 Kishwaukee Valley Rd, Woodstock, IL 60098. We are located on the west side of the park just south of Woodstock Water Works
There is FREE parking available at Emricson Park. You must have your tickets to enter park. Be prepared to show your DIGITAL or PRINTED TICKETS to the parking agent. If you are walking into the park, you must show your tickets to the parking agents at the gate entrances.
No outside food, beverages or coolers of any kind are allowed at the event. Your ticket cost includes a Pork Chop/Chicken BBQ Dinner. You can purchase beer, wine, adult drinks and pop. Water and pop is free for attendees wearing a designated driver’s wristband.
Barndance is a 21 years or older event. Be prepared to show a Photo ID at entrance gate. Children are not allowed, even if accompanied by an adult.
Our event will go on rain or shine.
No refunds. This is a rain or shine event.
