The Flowood Family Festival returns to Liberty Park on May 11 and will feature contemporary Christian rock band, Casting Crowns, as the headliner. With over 13 million albums sold, 15 No. 1 radio singles, and several music awards, Casting Crowns is one of the most renowned Christian music groups of the modern era.


Rising Christian artist and powerhouse vocalist, Anne Wilson, will take the stage at 6:45 p.m. ahead of Casting Crowns. Wilson is currently one of Nashville’s most inspiring young trailblazers and is known for fusing the heart of contemporary Christian music with the sound of country.


Since 1999, the City of Flowood has hosted the Flowood Family Festival, an outdoor concert that kicks off the summer season with live music, kids’ activities, fair food, fireworks, and more. Free admission is made possible by the City of Flowood and Parks and Recreation sponsors.


The festival will open at 4 p.m. with space jumps and activities for the kids, food vendors from local Flowood restaurants, and live music from Light of Mine. A fireworks display will follow Casting Crown’s performance, which begins at 8:30 p.m.

Is this event really free?

Yes! The City of Flowood has made free admission possible. This means everything from the space jumps, obstacle courses, kids' karaoke, petting zoo, and live music from Casting Crowns and Anne Wilson are all free to the community! Food vendors are the only exception & we suggest bringing cash.

Who all is invited to attend?

Everyone is invited! This concert welcomes guests from all over Mississippi and the surrounding regions, and we hope everyone can join for this fun, free festival!

Where is the festival?

Flowood Liberty Park, 694 Liberty Road, Flowood, MS 39232. The festival takes place at the Flowood baseball and soccer fields off Liberty Road (behind the Flowood Family YMCA ).

What can I bring to Flowood Family Festival?

Lawn chairs and picnic blankets are encouraged, so you can enjoy the festival comfortably. However, tents, pets, coolers, and outside food/drink are not permitted. No proof of event "registration" or "reservation" is required for admittance.

Are pets allowed?

No animals are allowed at Flowood Family Festival.

Can I bring a cooler and/or food and drinks?

No coolers or outside food and drink are allowed at Flowood Family Festival. There will be several local food vendors at the festival offering a great variety of options, and we suggest bringing cash.

Who can be a Kids' Vendor? How do I sign up?

Kids' Vendor spots are limited to Flowood Chamber members, Flowood Parks & Recreation sponsors, and those with business locations in Flowood. The selling of items is prohibited. All interested businesses are subject to approval. Contact office@flowoodchamber.com for a Kids' Vendor application.
