Race Day Activities
The FAME FUN 5K is a 5K race(3.1 miles) that begins at the Boyce Park - Ski Lodge. Trophies will be given to the top 3 overall male and female runners
Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age brackets:
11 and under, 12-14,15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
The 5K race will begin at 9:00 AM, and the award ceremony will be held immediately following the 5K race.
The FAME FUN 1-Mile Walk (recommended for fun) will begin at 9:05 AM. This course is designed for runners and walkers.
- Chip timing for all race participants.

- Commemorative race T-shirt for all participants
Registration and Pricing Information
- Registration cost for 5K is $30 thru - June 8, 2024
- Same-Day 5K registration is $35
- Registration cost for the 1-mile walk is $20 thru - June 8, 2024
- Same-day registration for the 1-mile walk is $25
Race Day Registration will be available on June 9th at the Boyce Park - Ski Lodge. The FAME Fun 5K Run/Walk race day registration will be open from 7:00 am – 8:45 am.

Pre-registration check-in and Packet Pick-Up will only be provided on race day from 7:00 AM to 8:45 AM at the Boyce Park Ski Lodge.

Your support of the FAME FUN 5K RUN/WALK will fund critical educational resources and scholarships for FAME Scholars and FAME Academy students.
Since 1993, FAME - Fund for Advancement of Minorities through Education, has provided merit scholarships for African American students in grades 3-12 to attend our 7 independent partner schools. While proud of its rich history, FAME focuses on the future.
The organization is moving at a measured and deliberate pace towards achieving its goal of supporting the academic growth and holistic development of 100 Scholars each year, recruiting and cultivating black educators, and connecting our alumni to scholarship, internship, employment, and networking opportunities.
FAME looks forward to strengthening our existing partnerships while working to develop new relationships.
